Wait, the Candle Holder from Beauty and the Beast wasn't gay?

I'm calling BS, there have been several characters that were gay, Disney never promoted them as gay for fear of backlash.

So I'll ask the question again, where is the definitive proof that there is a mental illness? Or do you just not understand it so it's learned and easier for you to call it that?

Gay men are something like 200-400x more likely to have been the victim of sexual abuse than straight men.

You can accuse me of bigotry till hell freezes over, but I oppose homosexuality because the lifestyle is disordered...profoundly so. It is not normal, it is abnormal.
Wait wait... you think you are not a bigot because you oppose something that you think is "abnormal"? News flash, bigot: lots of things are abnormal. THAT IS NO REASON TO OPPOSE THESE THINGS.

You are the definition of a bigot, how do you not see that? You are not only opposed to those who are different than you, but you are trying to lead some sort of fight against them. Just for being different. That is exactly bigotry.

Look I don't care what you gays do behind closed doors.
FYI I am a happily married straight man.

This country is a mess, with a sharp drop in the birthrate.
The drop in birth rate is not due to gay people. It's due to your worthless generation fricking up the country so bad that young people can't afford to have children anymore.

But again it's not normal,it's abnormal.
But again, so what?
quote:

Furthermore I don't want my taxes used to provide benefits for gay couples
I don't want my taxes used to provide benefits for bigots. I don't want to pay for the roads you drive on, the police, firemen, and military who protect you and your property, or the parks that you visit to watch gay people make out.
quote:

For example, taxpayer funded benefits in the form of daycare for gay working parents. Maybe that's not happening now (maybe it is)but I guarantee if you gays get full legalized recognition of gay marriage (believe that's already happened) you will press for the taxpayer funded benefits. Are we in agreement on that?
Well sure. Why shouldn't people who have done absolutely nothing illegal or wrong be denied the same benefits afforded to everyone else? Don't give me that "abnormality" bullshite.

Cute you threw in the subjective “wrong”.

But to answer your question, we placed public benefits for the nuclear family in our society because that institution has been one of the engines for prosperity for millennia and we want to encourage it. Everyone who engages in that institution does have access to that benefit. Gay people are not, so shouldn’t.

Happy now?

Thanks for pointing out that being gay is not objectively wrong.

I wasn't unhappy before, but sure it makes me happy when people expose their bigotry while claiming to not be bigots.

Let's go with being gay is an "abnormality" for argument's sake.

Let's say that a man and a woman get married, but it turns out that the woman has an abnormality that prevents her from having children of her own, so they adopt. Is this a nuclear family?

You gay people have now moved from doing whatever you do behind closed doors to public display of homosexual affection. In other words you've gone full 'just like the heterosexuals' mode.

Gay people are not what?

They haven't engaged in that institution because until recently, because bigots like you have fought tooth and nail to prevent it.

It's funny how so many of you fly the "don't tread on me" flag and yet you want to control other people who happen to be different or think differently than you.

So here's the main problem I have with gay marriage.......you don't procreate because you can't procreate. Gay couples do whatever they do to have children. But again it's not normal,it's abnormal.

Straight couples that can't have children.

Are we executing them or just deporting them?

Reading his illogical takes is something. He rails against people who are gay as being abnormal, wrong, etc....and then says that his MAIN issue with it is that two men or two women can't biologically create a child

It's also funny how he assumes that people like us who have a live and let live attitude around homosexuality are automatically all gay, because how could you be ok with someone who is different than you?!

That happiness you’re feeling is your narcissism being stroked. You love to signal your virtue to others and claim moral superiority even though your arguments are the asinine ramblings of an emotional teenager.

Yes. You have a mother/father/children. Ideally mate selection allows positive traits from each parent to pass to progeny, but you have all the puzzle pieces.

By the way I know where you’re going, and it’s a dead end. But swing away.

They are not capable of engaging in that institution and engaging in homosexual partnering.

She countered a point I never made. Quite the burn. But you’re a loon, so expected.

Furthermore it’s a self burn as she claims it isn’t wrong.

That seems like a great meaningless and malleable notion for a virtue signaling narcissist to circle their wagons around.

Just so we're clear, your view is that it is not the ability to procreate, or the ability to provide a stable and loving home in order to raise happy and healthy children to be productive adults, or any of the other qualities that make "nuclear families" a great positive economic driver. Rather, it all boils down to ensuring that one parent has a penis and the other a vagina. Those "puzzle pieces" that fit together, right?

Oh, I know that nothing I say here will make a bigot no longer a bigot. At best I just hope to get you to accept yourself for who you are.

Well, you're the one throwing it out there, so I'd love to know what the virtue is that you speak of.

And this whole thread was started so people like you could rail against what you feel to be a great attack on your way of life and heterosexuality...what is that, if not (misguided) virtue signaling?

People like me?

Rational and informed?

Or perhaps you are attributing to me things I haven’t stated.
