Kids these days won’t know what it’s like to hang out in a mall and catch a movie with a tub of popcorn in a dark theater. They have no clue what they’re missing out on.

That video brought back a ton of memories. That place was so awesome in the 80’s. Our parents would drop us off on Friday/Saturday nights and we would roam around for hours chasing girls and catching movies. It was a glorious time.

Don't they hire liquidators these days that jack up the prices and lower them to retail so as to claim "discount?"

Usually that is the case.

That store normally has at least additional 30% lowest ticket on all items, and larger discounts on certain items.

The first week of the liquidation sale, they are going with 20% off lowest ticket on all items.

But people are idiots and they will fall for it.

yes its definitely already an eyesore. The liter and homeless around that area is sad when you think back to how the mall was 30 years ago

Check out "Jasper Mall" on Amazon Prime. Depressing as hell, and I thought about Mama Brava's and Space Port the entire time.

Yeah but that Brad Wesley guy was the person that brought the mall to Jasper.

Are you sure? Can't recall a theater at Cortana

There definitely was a 3 screen theater. My mom and sis would go shopping while my dad and I would go to the movies. I dont remember when it closed but the last movie I saw there was Aliens.

Her video really took me back to the 1990s. I kind of miss Cortana in that era.

There will be a certain amount of sadness when the wrecking ball starts to swing.

It seems to be a modest epicenter of nostalgia for men of a certain age.

The Macy's at Greenbriar Mall in SW Atlanta is closing, too.

I still remember summer before 8th grade (circa 1991) one evening having my first cigarette, getting proposition for sex by a hs girl outside Spaceport, and committing my first crime by stealing a Megadeth necklace from Spencers in a poster tube.

We used to go back in those little service corridors and smoke cigs. I think you could still smoke in the mall back then but we were obviously underaged.

Damn...I remember that place too. It was in really bad shape in the late 80’s early 90’s. I remember seeing kindergarten cop there with the old hs girlfriend.

I remember going with my super religious cousin and his friend to go see Chaplin and the movie had boobies.

Grandma took me and my brothers when we were young to go see Cliffhanger. It was a little uncomfortable but when I told my mom she was all meh, "she brought your aunt and uncle to see a Cheech and Chong movie when they were your age."

Went to summer camp at Brec on Antioch and that was the theatre of choice.

Yea you could smoke in common area until around the mid 90's I think. I can remember the old Spaceport before the early 90's remodel was so smoke filled sometimes you could barely see to the back. My mom never would let me hang out there.
