almost all salesman take advantage of you and make the product sound great, its up to the consumer to research before buying. It may be the only thing some SAHM can do to make some extra money to help her family and still manage household duties so if someone is killing it I don't see that as a scam
why is it a scam when its how some make an income, alot of them get nice paid vacations multiple times a year and some even get car bonuses and make enough money to quit 9-5 jobs. Not much different from a salesman or the social media influencers getting paid to push products.
You are right, it will be a nightmare. That exit is a total mess, definitely can't handle anymore traffic. I think the Satsuma exit would be a great spot!
what do you have to do to get the free parking? Does MSY do this as well? Good to know, thanks for sharing

I would want them to have it for school if needed, if they don't go to school, or if they do and there is money left I would like for them to get their first house, car or invest it themselves if they choose to do so.
The trust is a good idea, it's what we are looking to do for ourselves here soon. I am going to do some more digging on the 529 also. Thanks for input

ok I didn't know this was an option. Can you personally withdraw from a 529 if it's not used or does it have to be rolled over to something? I will do some more research on the 529 in Louisiana

I'm hoping they could use the money in their early 20's and I would like to think I would still be alive then. (hopefully lol)

savings for grandchild

I am a first time grandparent and would like to start some sort of savings for them. I don't think I want to do the 529, in case they don't go to school, but I would like them to be able to use it for something big in their life like buying first car or house, etc. Suggestions please?
amazing detail in all of your shoes, would love to know average time you put into a pair.
for those that enjoy a good book store, there is a family book store in the antique village. Owned by a husband/wife who have a great passion for reading and are knowledgable in most genres and can actually help you out when looking for something. Hope B&N coming doesn't hurt them.
would you recommend one part of the island to be better to visit?
Have you been to Puerto Rico?
I have been interested in maybe planning a trip. Do you have any info to share on places to stay, things to do, is it worth going?

this year has been horrible with the banks around our pond, we skipped some weed eating and it seems like it grew so quick and very thick, out of control.
We got it all cut down but we want to spray something to help kill roots and not come back. What is growing out into the pond we have had to rake out in the past. Was hoping there may be something to kill it. Didn't think about only spraying part of the pond at a time. Great advice!

I have a mixture of both and I don't know the names of any of it. I do have some stuff that is growing into the pond with small purple flowers on it ( that comes every year) then I have something new this year that is growing very thick and tall, very big stalk with small yellow flowers. I have an aquatic book, I'll try to look to see if I can identify.
can you tell me which model? removable agitator would be nice option!

Does anyone know of a good weed/brush killer that is safe to spray around a 1 acre pond that has fish, turtles, etc.

we love KW, we flew in to FLL and did the drive which was awesome, we filled it with stops along the way. If we do that again, we would stay more in the different Keys and only do key west one day. We just don't know much about the other keys and what to do.
