Did you know that the latest sunset of the year does not occur at summer solstice?

But occurs a week or so after the summer solstice, June 20.

For example, New Orleans latest sunset occurs at the end of June/first of July.
Just offering your trivia for the day.

(June 20) This was also the "longest day of the year" as that high point kept the Sun above the horizon for the greatest amount of time. You might expect the earliest sunrise and latest sunset would also happen on this day, but they don't.

Just like the day when daylight and night hours are equal does not happen on the equinoxes
ETA: This is due to how sunrise/sunset is calculated. They use the top of the sun’s disk instead of the middle of the disk.
That small discrepancy adds several minutes to the daylight time on the equinox.

Alaska is the state located farthest north, west, and east (Hawaii is farthest south).
Maine is closer to Africa than Florida.
Tennessee borders the most other US States (8).
China borders the most other nations...kind of (14-16). Russia also borders 14.
Lake Ponchartrain is an estuary.
Oranges get their name from their color (or is it the reverse).
Egg salad and chicken salad are technically one and the same.
