Yes they all rolled their eyes at you as they continued to... drink.

I know people that did not drink. Which is great but at the same time being a snob about it like they're better than you is not cool. It was obnoxious looking back.

I didn't until I was s senior then more than made up for it. Everybody drank. The jocks, the nerds, everybody. I have two nephews who recently graduated. I'd be very surprised if they've had a drink in their life. These kids don't seem to party as much as we did. Maybe they're all smoking weed instead, IDK.

We drank at least every weekend, smoked an enormous amount of weed daily as well.
Nothing like the good old days when you told your parents you were sleeping over at a friends house…when you were really passed out in a field somewhere borderline dying from alcohol poisoning.

You mean inside the actual buildings of the high school? Actually, come to think of it, yes, a few times during my Sr year a few of us snuck it in.

Yes indeed as a freshman in the streets outside of Bruno's and TJ Quills on Tuesday nights for quarter beer and flaming Dr pepper shots in plastic cups.

Went to high school in New Orleans in the late 80’s.
Started drinking around 14 or 15. Sneaking into bars like Nick’s and The Boot around 16.
By the time I was 21 I was bored of bars and still sorta am. Blows my mind that kids now are ‘supposed’ to not go out and drink til 21.

We went to bars and liquor stores at 15, and there was no MIP.

first time i saw the movie dazed and confused i was wondering who follwed me around and made a movie about my life in high school...
we survived...
also had my first bb gun and folding knife before first grade. (in fairness i had a brother two years older and we did things pretty much together and my parents got us the same stuff)

That was pretty much the 70's and early 80's. You grew up pretty damn fast.
