So this white woman gets got, and they have the dude two days later.

But a week before that, a relative of the guy said that he raped her....and police did nothing.

quote:

Robinson is also accused of sexual assaulting a female relative on April 30

Also a 12 year old was raped in the same area, but 6 weeks earlier...but the police are supposedly saying that the crime lab is backed up.

quote:

She went against detectives wishes after seeing the attention the other case got. She felt like her daughter's case was just sitting on a shelf somewhere.

"He told me the crime lab was backed up," the mom said. "If the crime lab was so backed up, how did ya'll work this case within two days..?"

The guy was apprehended for something completely different and still had the woman's drivers license in his pocket. It's not like they pulled all assets and said this white woman gets priority. He figuratively fell into their lap.

There could be more to this than we know.
Perhaps the crime lab processed the kit of the 12 year old but were still working the case and told the mother something to buy time. Cases get complicated and police departments often suppress evidence for a while.

Or, it could be preferential treatment for the GD crime. We just don't know.

Or perhaps there are other more causative variables? Like one case had significantly more media and public attention?

It doesn't always have to solely come down to race just because it's an observable variable, you know.

Cops allocate additional resources to high profile cases as a way to prevent their departments from being dragged through the mud. Violent crimes involving white people often play out as high profile cases in the media because white people tend to care about these things where black people are callused and indifferent to such things.

if true, seems like an easy answer and irresponsible article

Was this reported in the media? The report I saw was very vague.

Link that story. I can't begin to tell you how many of these accounts start with "my ex was in my house...."
