These two locations never disappointed me and I lived close to both of them during my college years.

Down in south Louisiana, the quality is hit or miss. And don't order breadsticks at the Covington location.

Johnny's is legit, but in Covington I would go to Meribo's.

It's weird that the quality is so different location to location. The Johnny's in Minden is horrible. I gotta get to the one over in Haughton to get "good Johnny's"

The Johnny's on Highland just got a new garlic sauce for the wings, and if you ask them to put it on the pizza instead of marinara they probably will (if they're super busy it will be hard on them though, they can't ring it up like that and will have to write it on the ticket). It's really really good, just don't get something like pepperoni with it. Get chicken/ham (or both) and your choice of veggies and it will be amazing.

I used to work there and had them make one for me and it really surprised me with how good it was. I highly recommend it. The one's in Central and Lake Charles probably have the new sauce too, as they're all owned by the same person.

Some of their stores are corporate owned - some are franchises. The quality of the product depends on who's running the individual location.

I remember in the 1980s..I was young and I dont even recall what city arou d louisiana my family had stopped in..I had family from Monroe to houma all scattred around.

But I remember the name of the place, was called "Godfather's". the pizza was so good that I can still remember it. Was a deep dish meatlovers.

Maybe someone else remembers 1980s louisiana pizza joints.

They have a godfathers in gulf shores. I get it every time I go.

And I've eaten at every Johnnys in Monroe and west monroe. There's no noticeable difference between them. That said I usually order myself a pizza. The buffets can be hit or miss.
