. If one in Chicago gets bombed I promise you the ones here in Lake Charles will still be busy as ever.

And like i said before, even if we assume that people still shop as much after the attacks at WalMart or another store, the economic impact will still be pretty hefty. Crude oil prices would undoubtedly go up by a few dollars at least (they went up $11 two fridays ago because an Israeli guy threatened to bomb Iran and because of the depreciating dollar). A 1% drop in Walmart's stock price would cause a loss in market capitalization of about 2.3 billion dollars.

Do you really think they would make a dry run and just go in for 30 seconds as GL says they did. Besides he said they just alked in the front door. If they set a bomb off there the just blow they door up. Wouldn't setting the bomb off at the center of the wal-mart be more effective? Also, to say they were practicing to see if they could just get in is nuts. If they want to get in to set a bomb off I am sure they aren't worried about doing it peacefully and would be willing to use force.

Let's see, Iran produces oil and Wal-Mart...ummm...sales gas? I doubt ONE Wal-Mart being blown up make crude oil go through the roof.

I haven't gotten back to you because it's too fricking ridiculous to compare 9/11 to bombing a wal mart. You didn't prove a point. If and that's a big IF he actually said that(i really don't believe that happened, everyone wants to testify they knew 9/11 was gonna happen), the flight instructor had all his information to report the incident. You my friend have nothing, so way to be vigilant.

I was not comparing 9/11 to bombing a walmart. I was referencing it to YOUR statement that terrorist act intelligent and rationally BEFORE an attack occurs. You were arguing that there was no way this is a dry run because that would be a stupid thing to do. I was pointing out that even the "best" terrorists have done stupid things before their attacks so these potential rookies shouldn't be expected to act 100% logically. These people did not look like your top of the line Al-qaeda lieutenants, they looked like wannabe sympathizers.

why would you need practice bombing a wal mart coke? Is the security really tight? Do you think they would risk raising suspicion by wearing back packs in the store when if "they were just doing a dry run" they would simply have to walk in there empty handed and look around?

And if you were General Lee and you saw 2 suspicious looking Arabs grab back packs out of their trunk and follow you in the store, would you still walk in the store(being as worried as he claims) and not make a b-line back to your car or at least have a detailed description of said vehicle. My spider senses tell me that if he was this shook over these 2 individuals that he clearly saw before he went in the store, he would have handled it a bit differently.

Yea I agree. The conspiracist theorist are still having a field day with 911. Michael Moore really created a peice of crap and people still believe what was in it. So many of his theories and stories have been proven wrong though.

What the heck do you expect me to do? Stand outside the store and possibly let them go in there and kill a bunch of innocent people? I would go down in history as a coward, no thanks. I was worried outside the store, but then i was VERY worried when they only went in 20-30 feet and stopped and started scanning the building.

If this were true, why get out of your car, open the back door, and put backpacks on to walk into a store that they were in for less than 30 seconds??

Just wondering, if these were two white guys, what would you assume had happened?

I've gone to Walmart several times and turned around right after I got in, remembering I forgot my wallet or something like that.

And I've gone into Walmart wearing a backpack before, when I was in school.

Huh? Earlier you said they just went in the door for 30 seconds. Now it is 20-30 feet and they were scanning the building. How much can you case out in 30 seconds?

Ah i knew this was gonna come up. I'll admit if these were white guys I would not have been so wary. But that is the nature of the beast. The facts are, racist or not, that most of the people we are fighting in the War on Terror are young Muslim arab males. If that is racial profiling on my part, so be it. That is like asking about a soldiers reaction to Japanese soldiers on a Pacific island during WW2 and asking if they would've reacted differently if they were black.

If you walk 30 feet into our local Wal-Mart the only thing you could "scan" would be Grocery Aisle 3 to the right and Children's clothes to the left.

quit being such a fig about this whole ordeal.

Yeah because if this was really gonna go down it makes much more sense to just simply join the crowd and become a victim. I wouldn't want to go back to my car and maybe call 911 when it still mattered. It's better to wait until you are done shopping and the suspects are long gone, then call 911.

No, you would go down in history as the guy who saw terrorist walk in a wal mart and you tried to contact authorities in a timely manner.

They walked in about 20-30 feet pass the double entrance doors to the Walmart, and from the time they walked in to the time they walked out was probably 30 seconds or so.

Maybe they were looking for one of those quarter machines that gives you fake watches and jewelry in the front and then realized that they needed 75 cents instead of just a quarter.

Yeah, the cops or FBI would've really had had time to get there to stop the suicide bombing. We obviously view our role in society different. I tend to still look at law and order somewhat like the guys in Lonesome Dove did. If the authorities are far away, sometimes you gotta protect yourself and others on your own.
