In my defense, I think i noticed a heck of a lot of information more than just that they were Arabs. I wish I could've gotten a license plate number, but i was walking away from the car and wasn't freaked out at the point in this story when I was just walking past their car.

Do you have a concealed carry permit? Next time yu cn just shoot and then check the backpacks. That is the only way to be sure everyone of the women and children in the store at 10 pm are safe.

As i stated before, people that have been arrested for terrorist plots before haven't exactly been the "sharpest tools in the shed." You have to be either 1) crazily radical or 2) demented to want to kill innocent women and children. Sorry, but I see no need for you to call me a fricking idiot. I think I am carrying out my responsibility as an American citizen to let people know of this event.

No concealed permit, Illinois is pretty strict about gun ownership. I've really had enough of your sarcasm in this thread, i guess everyone should just keep it to themselves when they see blatantly suspicious activity?? Is that really the precedent that should be set?

And why woud a dry run be impossible? Before 9/11, did you think it was impossible to believe someone would blow themselves up for righteousness? Maybe there wasn't enough people in the store to validate a moral victory in their minds.

You're right. They were terrorist. They came within seconds of blowing up Wal Mart but they decided "ahh, better just make this a dry run instead since Wal Mart has a sophisticated floor plan and tight security."

Yes! The first suicide bomb didn't occur until September 11, 2001. Before that it was strictly dry runs.

There are lots of Illinois fans or alumni on this site actually, and this is a fairly popular site nationwide. I have let the authorities know what happened within 30 minutes of this event. I debated whether to call anyone, because I know some will think i'm just a nutjob because this country has forgotten about 9/11 for the most part.
With the timeline of the event, it was impossible for me to get their license plate due to the angle that I was looking back to them when they were getting the backpacks out of the car.

GeneralLee I think the argument at this point is the whole "DRY RUN" thing. I tend to believe most people would have been suspicious just as you if they saw this event unfold, I know I would have but most people seem to believe suicide bombers don't make dry runs. Terrorist who hijack planes and whose plan requires much more thought than just walking into a store and blowing themselves up have to do dry runs but not someone who is looking to blow themselves up in Walmart.

i was taking a class at LSU. my prof was of the arabian persuasion(is that how you spell that?) and so wer the teaching assistants.
anyways, during our lab all 6 of them suddenly walked to the back of the class to the office. i freaked out and hit the deck.
not really but i thought it was strange.
thats pretty much it.

Did it play? It was audio from Young Frankenstein. The lady asks him if he wants a drink before bed and he keeps saying no. she keeps asking about different drinks and the last one is ovaltine.
