so we're under the assumption that HRC has spent millions of SEO to promote "Hillary clinton India"? but even then, the indictment isn't even listed, so it's not an issue of "ranking" you'd see "Hillary Clinton India" firs tand then "Hillary Clinton indictment" second you wouldn't have the "indictment" search eliminated entirely
Not every possible way to finish shows up. HC Ind... Could be one of 100s of possibilities:
Indian/a
Independence
Indoor
Indecent; etc
It's just the tip 3+ that show up. You can't tell me indictment or criminal is not in the top searches for Ind or cri.

Why does the exact same thing happen when you Google "Bill Cosby Indi", compared to Yahoo.
The first predictive search result on Google was Indiana, and indictment was nowhere to be found in any of the suggested results, compared to Yahoo where the first predictive result was indictment.
*Not taking a side, just pointing this out ...
No one wants to hear facts or discussion. They've already vilified Google and made up there minds.

quote:holy shite. i tried this morning and it matched the video now when you type in Hillary Clinton ind it autocompletes to "indictment for emails" as the number one choice.
oh shite. since this story broke, go type in "Hillary Clinton ind" and you'll now get an indictment result
that's some smoking gun shite right there.
Still no "crooked Hillary" though just "crooked hillary bernie" whatever the hell that is.

WTF
Do you have any idea how many thousands of times a day people mention Hitler and Trump in the same sentence on the internet?

It makes perfect sense that Hilary Clinton india would come up and indictment wouldn't.

What's interesting is that we already 100% know she paid an IT firm/advisor to SET UP A PRIVATE EMAIL SERVER IN HER HOUSE to conduct and hide government-related emails on (which went POOF, btw)
Her investing millions into SEO doesn't seem like far of a leap. I used to work in SEO, the way that works, she would have had to spend an enormous amount of $ to get that result if google wasn't involved (but not impossible). Also, the natural rankings of actual searches and trends would have been hard to compete against.
But in theory, if you spent enough money, you can alter the results to whatever you want.

It's actually quite simple. This news story was on google news main page, along with facebook's news feed.
That (and this thread is a great example) made probably millions of people type in "indictment" and google is showing real time results. the more people that try this will solidify that result.

Do you know how many people search "Clinton Indictment"? Because the video shows the analytics. Almost 8 times as much as "Clinton India", yet that's higher on the recommendations.
Explain that.

Because the video shows
That Hillary Clinton is friends with and funded by a data analytic specialist who used to work at Google.
Everyone in this thread had already made up their minds the the heads of Google are actively changing the algorithm and search function of Google to help Hilary Clinton, but isn't it at least equally possible that the expert of the world's data analytics that has an inside knowledge of Google who works for Hillary Clinton would know how to write a program or run a plan which would actively bury negative results in the search function?
It's not like Google scrubbed the internet of Hilary Clinton bad things. Again, if you type Hilary Clinton Crimi, then all the right searches show up.
I'm not a Hillary Clinton supporter by any stretch of the imagination. I'm just looking at the situation logically and trying to get all the facts.
But every time I ask a question I'm just met with personal attacks or stupid questions that have nothing to do with my point.
Of course, I've been here long enough to know this is SoP, but usually there is a guy or two who wants to have legitimate discussion.

Hitler isn't a curse word. And isn't filter sensitive.
Bitch, frick, shite, etc... Are curse words and Google tries not auto fill curse words.
However, of you type in Hillary Clinton bich, it will ask you if you meant Hillary Clinton Bitch

It ask me if I mean "Hillary Clinton Bitcoin"
Also, "bitch" is a female dog as much as it is derogatory language.

That's actually what is quite elegant about this whole issue, starting with the OPs original link.
They have forced the word indictment into the conversation. And like a magician forcing a marked card , the rubes picked it and thought they made an active choice.
But now indictment is trending but the articles that will flood the Internet about it will be about analytics and not about, you know, an actual indictment.
And because this forum has a lot of traffic and is visiting frequently, this thread will bolster that collocation of the words - Hillary email indictment. It won't be about Hilary and her problems. It will be about Hilary and data nerd stuff.
Pretty fricking clever.
