Service Merchandise was the shite. Watching your new toys/games come down that conveyor belt was a thing of beauty.

I prefer the Sears wishbook.

It was great.

You couldn't get good looking MLB ball caps back then locally, but you could order one for any team from the catalog.

Would get a different teams cap about twice a year.

Yeah, my 5 year old has already marked what he wants out of it... which is basically every toy in the book.

Mail order business with lots of warehouse space, deals with manufacturers for their own line of products, developing their own delivery/shipping service, expanding into brick and mortar stores, and now sending out catalogues?

That's it! Amazon is now officially Sears & Roebuck.

It came in yesterday. After dinner tonight I’ll make hot chocolate and look through it with the kiddo. Our decorations are coming out the day after Halloween.

The whole world needs a healing Christmas season this year.

Hopefully you will be celebrating a virtual Xmas and thanksgiving this year so we as a community can crush this pandemic.

My wife and I already told our BR family that they are not allowed to come over for either Holliday this season and vice versa.

Since we won’t get any of my aunt Jeanne’s famous Turducken I have been in talks with newly promoted executive Chef Meg Bickford at Commanders Palace to make us a dinner for 2.5 for both holidays.

Godspeed and Health for All!

Spiegel was the best Christmas season catalog when I was a kid in the 80's. Being the first to check the mailbox the day it arrived was always like winning the kid lottery.

Friend,

The floor used as the background in many of your pictures reminds me of the floor in my attic. Have you been forced to take refuge in an attic? Is mother angry? Are you in danger?

Yours,

TOTM
