Ft Pickens, we use to go to the pier, drop a Coleman lantern just above the water line. You could see the crabs going into the crab traps we’d have set out.

Saying they only chase people who are inexperienced with snakes is obviously sarcasm.

I reiterate - you weren’t chased by a snake. The snake fled from you and you just happened to be in between the snake and where it was fleeing to. Your irrational fear had you thinking you were being chased.

Countless herpers have recorded themselves attempting to get a snake to chase them. And it just doesn’t happen for one simple reason - snakes don’t chase people.
