Dallas won’t get hit until a little later this evening, but time is definitely up in the air.

So far were okay. But as you have seen first hand, any little cell that pops has gone nuclear in 15-20 minutes.

So it can be sunshine right now, hail in half in hour.

Yeah, worst is over neylandville right now. That's like 6 people and a shitty liquor store.

We are played not in the pool and reapplying sunscreen. There are no warnings for DFW, on,y watches. We’ve been under watch for something since March.

The downdraft potential is immense and storms that pop up nearby will throw out outflow that will probably be in the form of a crosswind.

They don't just delay or cancel flights for a major hub for no reason.

It's 100% true. Between Greenville and commerce on 224 is nothing.

American is based out of DFW. That airport directly impacts the majority of their flights around the country in 1 way or another. There is no known threat, just maybes. It’s a big deal to cancel flights into their home base for no known threat.

We have been under a tornado watch like three times tops in 2019

Ok?

Did AA stop flights into DFW for those “watches”? My husband flew in the day of the microburst this month.

THIS makes much more sense than canceling flights for Tornado Watches or typical Thunderstorm Watches.

ETA: Thanks

I was in Borger, TX yesterday and we got rocked there, I think one tornado touched down.
Supposed to fly back today from Amarillo to DAL and as I'm driving to the airport I get a message that my flight was canceled.

Call to book another flight and ask the reason why it's was canceled and the dumb bitch tell me it's because of the Maxx 8being grounded. I tell her I booked this shite last week and the Maxx 8 has been grounded for months, that's impossible. "I'm sorry sir."

Now I see this thread and I know why

There was no tornado watch that day in DFW. We were under T-storm warning/watch.

I know because I bitched about it plenty because I lost several trees in it

Those sentences were 2 separate responses. And I now have my answer. A major international airport wasn’t closed due to a tornado watch.

Tyler should be okay from this. Areas East probably need to pay attention though.
