Oh for fricks sakes can we have a break now?

Good news, there's a nice trough digging into Texas by Sunday too.

It's been very spring like pattern wise, just with the additional heat the high june sun brings with it and a rockies snowpack providing an extra chill to the air aloft as it pushes east.

Looks like my this time next week a high should build over the central US and break this mini derecho every few days pattern for y'all.

Can confirm. Grew up near Wichita Falls. Proving ground for tornado alley and hot as heck in the summer.

some years there's no weather at all, just oppressing heat

honestly, I'd prefer these storms to the 60 days in a row with >100 degree heat and no rain or cloud cover that's just around the corner

The first few years I lived here there was none of this shite I felt like.

Before that I lived 70 miles west of Fort Worth and this was a weekly occurrence. You could see storms from 60 miles away though. It was wild watching that shite blow by and seeing it be sunny on side of the sky and tornadoes and black clouds and lightning on the other.

That heat doesnt snap trees / powerlines / and put hail through cars and roofs

I'm in and out of my car all day. I'll take the heat over storms.

I really hope the wind/power shite doesn’t happen again. It was a nightmare last week.
