Pretty sure there is a lawsuit for the 185 home subdivision they are building down the road.
The one on 22 or the one 445?

Not really. that land behind the "Louisiana Purchase" has never really flooded to my knowledge. That side of the river is pretty high. As a matter of fact that side of the river from 12 to even south of 22 has never really flooded.

Don’t want to put names out.
Neither of the ones you are thinking of. I believe it is an extension of Bedico Trace or one of those..
Parts of 445 flooded further south of where y’all are talking about.

Around the bridge yes and along that creek, but for the most part that land is high and never has flooded to my knowledge.

We will see how the drainage changes with DR Horton clearing that land.
The area behind Sportsmans paradise was definitely high and dry.

No doubt it will make a difference, but I don't think it will effect that area where this proposed casino would be built.
How much land is it that they are clearing on 445? Looks to be a pretty big tract. I am surprised no developer hasn't jumped on that land Edwards is selling on the south side of 22.

It is pretty large and they’re probably saving some for 2nd/3rd phases

I’ll be looking out for that guy in Ponchatoula who puts the corruption signs up in the back of his truck
Go to the Ponchatoula Library, he is there almost all the time. He is loony!
Saw him with a black eye once....was wondering who he pissed off.

This happened in the late 90's. My Dad and I had went to a LSU game and when we came through town about midnight we saw a bunch of cop cars and Acadian at Ledbetter's pool hall. We found out the next day Arden had been in there shooting pool and drinking. He was on one table and on a table on one side of him was some girls playing. He started running his head about all the things he want to do these girls and such. What he didn't know was that on the table on the opposite side him was one of the girls brother. It didn't end very well for Arden. Unfortunately the brother probably didn't know he had just beat the shite out of a psycho lawyer.
No doubt he is looney tunes but I can tell he is not stupid. He is smart as a whip, he just happens to be nuts.

I’ll repeat what I posted in another thread: They need a place to recycle all the drugs they confiscate and clean up all that dirty money.

Pretty sure will have to vote on this. I will vote no.

I tend to keep a open mind until I find out all of the details on anything. But the fact of who is behind this project does not bode well for my vote.
The south end especially the Ponchatoula area will not just sign off on this. They just tried to sneak that plant at the port of Manchac by us and the people shut it down pretty quickly. I am not saying it won't get approved, but it won't be something that just happens automatically. I don't think.

My first thought when I saw the title was some politicians would have to get their palms greased for this to happen. I just didn’t know who.

Doesn't help that the Parish Council is a joke of a organization.
