I live in Walton county. Destin has always been shite…..and no fricking way your property value went down. Mine has increased by 1.1mm since 2018.
As for prices up and closing early, where the frick have you been? Staffing shortages have increased since Covid and there is this inflation thingy happening.

I was using an example that if Destin doesn't clean shite up it might go down because the town has turned into a shithole. And yea, mine did go down which is why it's back off the market. Not because Destin is a shithole yet but because the overall market changed.
Yea, I understand inflation. But $17 extra for oysters? Give me a fricking break.
6:00-7:00 closing for a major shopping center in the middle of the week? Malls where I now live don't close at 6:00 on a Thursday. That's absurd. Has nothing to do with labor shortage. It has everything to do with people not visiting the area like they have been the past 5 years.
By the way, we had a HUGE influx of black tourists the past few years. Blacks are not the problem like people on here claim. It's the white trash garbage that visit from Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, etc. that are the problem. Not saying everybody from those areas are white trash, but the white trash from those areas took over Destin

I had a bronzed tripletail sandwich at Dewey Destin's a week ago. It was fantastic like always. Fried crab claws were good too.

Outlet malls sometimes tend to be depressing. And that schedule does not surprise me. Some malls (not outlets) now open at 11 am and close at 8 pm. Coincidentally I went to the mall last Sat. after months of not going and told my friend that malls are really a thing of the past.
