If you ask him a question that lets him brag about himself he'll say anything.

Nelson just got him to admit that releasing the choke hold after the guy is unconscious can allow the guy to start fighting again.

So if Chauvin would have taken knee off Floyd could have started fighting back again.

Can't watch/listen, but did the defense actually get him to say/agree to the 2nd part, or just infer it?

Williams is trying so hard to prove he knows more than Nelson that he isn't aware what he is saying.

Eric Nelson is a far superior attorney than the 9 prosecution attorneys and it's not even close.

It seems like this all could be determined scientifically. Like they could measure the pounds of pressure and speed down the milliseconds etc. on that sports science show like 15 years ago. Couldn’t they just get someone that is Chauvin’s weight get into the exact position on a dummy and measure how much force is applied? And subsequently have medical experts determine if that is enough to restrict air flow to the point of asphyxiation? Now that wouldn’t clarify criminal state of mind, etc. But it just seems to me that it shouldn’t be that hard to determine if the pressure on the part of the neck that there was is what killed him.

He would never actually say that. He said he's seen people get up after being unconscious and start immediately fighting.

That was actually my take of why he was asking those questions and using his answer as to why Chauvin didnt take his knee off.

You can already make some inferences about the amount of force Chauvin was applying. It had to be equal to or more than Floyd's body weight.

Is 250 pounds of force enough to crush a trachea?

he said he has witnessed people get choked out, regain consciousness and want to fight immediately. He said he actually has been knocked out, regained consciousness and tried to fight but his teammates had to tell him the fight was over.

The autopsy says No.

Right - inferring that Floyd could come back and keep fighting and that may have happened if the knee was taken off.

But some people will say that the absence of physical evidence on the body is not proof that asphyxiation didn't happen (see the thread about the Scientific American article).

This is like watching a fly in a Venus fly trap. The fly ( witness) thinks he is getting all that nector not realizing his own actions just trapped him.
