She has reviewed all the material pertinent to determining the cause and manner of death in this case.

honestly... if I was a juror... all these expert witnesses who only saw the information from a 2nd hand source would just have me taking a nap
I'd wake up in time for cross
ETA: and that's for both sets of expert witnesses... both prosecution and defense

When does the defense start calling their witnesses?

Does anyone have the witness list that got leaked? I watched most of the selection, but I'd like to look into them. Also would like to look at the witnesses.
Wonder if that would play a role in a mistrial

I’ve seen a case where parents were being imprisoned for abuse when their child died from a natural medical event. No way a defense attorney was going to be able to discover the true cause of death and/or successfully create doubt on cross examination. Expert testimony was the only thing that saved them. Good thing you weren’t on their jury.
Expert witnesses are no different from defense attorneys. The public generally hates them until they need them.

Just listening to her voice this woman sounds like she would fellate George Floyd if it would raise him from the dead.

I obviously wouldn't actually take a nap... but the point being if the cross by the prosecutor couldn't poke holes in what that expert said... then I would go back to what they said and give it higher consideration

It's been clear the prosecution isn't calling Republican medical professionals if you know what I mean

Obviously. The State is only going to call expert witnesses that agree with their theory of the case. The defense isn't going to call any expert witnesses that say Chauvin killed Floyd by kneeling on him. That's how these things work.

For some reason, the way Blackwell questions a witness annoys the shite out of me.
