I would definitely recommend holding off on details until he's better - he's going to have to relive losing comrades under fire -

Living when you've lost brothers in arms under fire is about the worst kind of survivor's guilt there is, period.

Just curious how serious his injuries were since he's this bad off.

He should have died - it's a literal miracle that he lived, much less regained this much functioning. Multiple GSWs, head and stomach. The family was told "1 day" - then "2 days" then "5 days" then "21 days" all within the first week - here we are, 5 months later...

I'm a praying Catholic ... and I believe in miracles. Through quick actions of EMS and LEO on the scene, to OLOL trauma staff and then the medical team and now TIRR, Deputy Tullier is alive today.

Not that it matters but I was super impressed with the doctor and therapists who spoke. It makes me want to write a note to my husband saying if I'm ever in need for rehab and the people here write me off, check out TIRR. Seriously.

I just watched that video and it's incredible. It's sad at the same time that he's having to go through this because of a devil on Earth, but he's showing he'll get as far as he can no matter what it takes. No telling how long he could understand and wasn't "heard".

I can't imagine knowing everything that's going on and not being able to communicate or to get my body to do what I want. Some really tough stuff there. His family is simply unbelievable.

Gris Gris I agree. And sorry for the accidental downvote. I tried to change/refresh but it didn't work!

Curious as to what long term financial support for him and his family will be like?
