Sorry if germans
ST. FRANCISVILLE – Two Assumption Parish sheriff’s deputies wearing a department uniform were denied service while visiting a St. Francisville restaurant recently.
The department’s public information officer, Lonny Cavalier, discussed the incident in a newspaper editorial and later with an internet blog followed by those in the law enforcement community.
Cavalier said the two deputies were attending a training seminar and stopped at the Burger King when they were not allowed to order.
Employees laughed, Cavalier said, through the drive-thru speaker when deputies asked if they could not get food because they were law enforcement.
Cavalier said the deputies were told they were out of food – from burgers to chicken – and received the snickering response when they asked for clarification.
“The only response was laughter,” he said.
Any discussion came after the deputies had to sit in their patrol car for a while before being greeted.
“They sat there for an extended period of time before someone finally let them order,” Cavalier told the Blue Lives Matter blog.
When one of the deputies tried to get the attention of employees at the window, they were ignored, Cavalier said.
“He could hear them inside laughing, but no one would come to the window.”
“They were embarrassed and humiliated,” Cavalier told Blue Lives Matter. “This is new for us. We’ve not had that kind of relationship with any vendors, ever.”
“What is troubling is that these same Burger King employees, in the event a robbery was occurring at the time, would have expected these two deputies to take a bullet for them, and those deputies would have,” Cavalier wrote in his editorial.
Cavalier told WBRZ, a man who identified himself as the restaurant owner demanded a retraction from the sheriff’s office and that service to various people had been denied, not just the two deputies and not just because they were deputies.
Burger King employees ignored phone calls from WBRZ Friday afternoon and when someone did answer, they hung up. After multiple attempts to get someone to answer the phone, an employee told WBRZ to call the owner and disconnected the line. Later calls also went unanswered.

The messed up part is the owner admits the employees were wrong and has fired them, but wants the Sheriff's department to apologize to him.

frick that owner. I hope he loses his business.
So, the owner verifies the story, fires the employees, and the cops make a public outcry because hurt feelings.
Wouldn't you be mad? What do you expect him to do? He did what he could.
There is no special class of citizens. That restaurant treats customers equally shitty. Those employees saved them from a bad meal.

Burger King has confirmed that they have video of the incident, but will refuse to release it.

So they were able to get food eventually? I wouldn't trust that shite after what the employees were doing to begin with

The only reason the Burger King fired the employees was because the director went to the paper and they ran the story. The owner admits the same individuals who he fired have done this before, the only reason they we're fired is because it was run in the paper.

It went public before the owner fired them, he fired them because it went public and admitted they've done this before

Director Cavalier received a call from the St. Francisville store owner approximately one week after The Bayou Pioneer printed his letter, he said.
quote:
The store owner then alleged that Director Cavalier’s story was an “outright lie,” and that the employees had only refused to serve “people who just happened to be police,” he said.
quote:
“So, I asked him if they refused to serve those specific officers, and he admitted that they did,” Director Cavalier told Blue Lives Matter.
quote:
The Burger King owner told him he had already fired the employees involved and that he had other problems with the same workers in the past, the director said.
quote:
The franchisee claimed he had attempted to contact Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon “multiple times” since the allegations surfaced, but the sheriff had no missed calls or voice messages from him, the director said.
quote:
According to Director Cavalier, instead of apologizing, the Burger King franchisee demanded that the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office issue a press release to retract the allegations against his business.

Burger King hires students that only got a GED at Hamburger University. They are the worst of them all.

My bad.
That place is pretty bad though. That area has a horrible applicant pool to choose from.
