I was fresh out of Air Force pilot training when my commander at the time pulled me aside and told me my number one job was to be an officer first and that I was the new emergency management officer. My first priority was now to make sure we’re compliant in the upcoming inspection. Luckily I had a good chief pilot that provided top cover for me and allowed me to cut my teeth as a pilot instead of being a yes boy. Unfortunately that’s the reality for a lot of people on active duty today. Flying has become a secondary job in the Air Force. I assume it’s the same or worse in the Army.

Army officers seem the same; we spent how much training you? But you know 'puters, so rear-D for you!. WO, just do what they want, as it should be.

I believe she was told to drop in altitude or pass behind the crj. She refused to listen.

Don't be so simplistic. It makes it easy to refute you. Use words like, "lost track of vertical ascension," "didn't have two crew chiefs looking for traffic, just one, etc.

LSUGrrrrl covered this well in a different thread. Don't make yourself an easy target for the commies. The entire principle of us bitching about it is fricked out until the NTSB issues their findings in two years, but at least we can count on them to be right. You know, actual science and forensics.

Maybe the pilot is still alive. Maybe they were controlling the Blackhawk remotely.

The tower definitely should get some blame. i have worked as a tower observer and whoever was responsible for landings and take offs should have been screaming at those two aircraft.

Because...this crash isn't relevant enough for you to want to discuss the causes?
