How much did a dealership window set you back? Yikes.

I went there was to look at trucks last summer. Salesman spoke broken English, was not friendly, and annoyed me by wanting to copy my DL right off the bat. I foolishly gave it to him, then it took ten minutes to get it back when I decided to go elsewhere.
But I’ve gotten some oil changes and maintenance there in the past with no issue.
Nevermind, I’ve only been to the Katy dealership.

I had the drivers door window replaced on my Tundra at a locally owned on windshield place. Cost inc. labor was $100 + tax. Toyota online parts list price for the window glass only at $261.36 + labor.

By habit I go to the dealership for any service needs regarding my car. This was my first time using this dealership since I just moved to Houston a couple of months ago.

I've got one for you. I lost my truck in 2016 with the flood. The local dealerships refused to budge a dime because of all the trucks they were selling. I found a couple Crewmax Tundras at Don McGill online. Call the sales person, have them go check them out in person for me and send me pics or anything they notice. Make a deal online/over the phone, pay deposit. Had a business trip planned and just flew to Houston instead of NOLA. Go to dealership and go look at the Tundra I picked out in person for the 1st time. Within 10 seconds, notice two HUGE dents/scrapes on the top of cab by the back window. Salesman went ghost white. Liked the truck and the options, so I asked, if I buy it, will they have it repaired at Toyota dealership in LA. Nope, the offered me $800 off. Said no way in hell it's only going to cost $800.
There was another Tundra on lot that I was also looking at online so I checked it out, and wanted to deal and buy it. They refused to give me anything off, not even what they took off when I was making deal on the previous Tundra. I said, well, looks like I am about to uber to rental car place and call and dispute the deposit and situation with CC company. They tried to play hardball as though I had no other choice or ride and was going to take the offer on 2nd Tundra.
In the end, they came back to me as I was waiting on uber and said they would knock same off as they did on other Tundra and I took it.
Found out while I was there waiting on them to do the paperwork, that someone had prepped the 1st Tundra earlier that day and backed it into bay, running into one of the lifts with a car on it. It's really scary how irresponsible they are with damage after hearing your story.

Welcome! You'll find out it may appear 1/2 of Houston is from Louisiana. Congrats on cheaper cost of living, higher wages, and better quality of life.
