My nephew wants to pledge Deke. Based on my experience, I wouldn't let my dog pledge Deke. Should I go ahead and just shoot the kid?

They've moved lately from rough, respected outsiders to more of a hard druggie attitude. They're still prestigious to join, but if he doesn't have some type of connection he doesn't have a chance. They will likely kill his GPA, though. I think 7 of 13 pledges failed out a couple of years ago.
