Dammit. I'm not liking the position of these cells right now. Radar sucks at the moment.

Is it just me, or are these tornadic cells further south than usual for these types of fronts?

LSU is closing at 3 today.
I'm not sure how great of an idea that is. Anyone leaving campus in a vehicle please check radar/tv before you leave.

It has to do with the overall setup. There is basically a triple point where multiple fronts are meeting, and combined with daytime heating and shear profiles we have a really good setup for anything that pops to almost immediately start spinning.

My radarscope isn't working. Pretty unhappy about it.
Its looking really sketchy out ahead of our line with the tor warnings going up. Everything wants to spin and we're actually getting deep enough storms to do it.
Would be typical for one of these to go rampage as an EF3+ in southern mississippi

Back on the main line we have a Tornado Warning SW of Gueydan.

My assistant was just in my office. She asked me if we need to do tornado drills? I said, "yes. Hurry and get under my desk." I wonder if I will hear from HR?
Pretty inappropriate comment to make Tom

I think I just saw Jay Grimes reading TD in the background on WAFB.

Hey Jay! Go frick yourself! Still triggered by those meanies on Facebook calling you and your shitty winter weather predictions out last February?

On a positive note, if anyone is brave/stupid enough, you may have a chance to get some waterspout video today.
Just kidding, don't do that. Unless you want. But, seriously, don't.

Yes. Has a lot to do with the big winds in the low levels I think with how everything is set up. A strong wind out of the S/SSW at 850 mb is trouble.

Anyone check out Fox's new "Fox Weather" channel that they launched this week? Competitor to the TWC. Sort of amazing timing for them to launch with this, the weather in San Fran and Seattle last few days and the Nor Easter.

FML getting ready to find out well the Blu Tarp holds.
Appreciate the updates and radar shots.
