My wife (no pics) has started a new jobs where she has to be in really early some days and goes to sleep by nine o’clock. On these days I’ve been sleeping in spare bedroom as not to wake her. The mattress in this room is firm and not the most comfortable. I am curious how much a decent memory foam topper for a queen bed runs. I have seen some that are $300. I would just get a new mattress. Are their any decent ones for $100 or less? I wouldn’t only use it one maybe two nights a week so I don’t feel like spending slot.

Couldn’t you just quietly get in the bed when you do go to bed?

Good one Nurse. He is going to get in, sneeze or cough, fart a few times, get rebuffed on the boob squeeze, get restless, and end up in the other bed anyway so he may as well be comfortable.

So y’all normally both go to bed at the exact same time every night?

Yes. She is a very light sleeper and I don’t want to change waking her up when she has to be up at three or four in the morning.

I doubt she’s under $100 but here’s a good one.

We have two twins on our king that aren’t great. Instead of paying for a new mattress I put together some things that work great.

Cheap foam egg crate, 2” Costco memory foam topper, 1” pillow topper.

Cost about $120 total I think and our bed is a cloud. We both like really soft beds.

We bought a wool mattress topper and it's been awesome. You would think it would be hot, but it regulates temperature better than just our latex mattress. It keeps you warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

I got one at Costco for about that. Turned a lumpy mattress plush, for 2 years and counting.

I am considering the 3" version. Looks like it has the best reviews of any I have looked at.

Do whatever you think is worthwhile for your situation.

But we tried several 100 dollar ish 3 and 4 inch toppers for some firmer mattresses and none were great. We recently got a Tempur one that's 300-400 bucks but frequently on sale to closer to 200.

It's light years better than the others. It's so much heavier and higher quality, it doesn't move on the mattress and it's the best memory foam I've seen. I only buy tempurpedic pillows although we've done tons of other memory foam stuff. I still haven't found anything close to real Tempur stuff, and we've tried a ton of the alternatives.
