Charlotte is fairly benign
Tornadoes, especially of any significant strength are not common at all in the Charlotte area thanks for the mountains to the west.
Hurricanes similarly aren't as strong because of being inland and north
heat is generally milder than most of the deep south
Snows every few years but doesn't get below freezing very often
Enough rainfall during the year that drought is never a concern, but again no major thunderstorm activity compared to the South
rare wildfire concern

I was just going to say Delaware. I grew up there and it has all four seasons, winters don't have a lot of snow and if you get any it melts quickly. Never had a direct hit from a hurricane, tornados if they occur are infrequent and small. No earthquake risk. The worst storm to hit the state was nor'easter back in the 60's which did significant damage but that's about it.
