Have you put on the tooth gel stuff?
Fentanyl in a small dose would probably help too.

Dentist said it probably wouldn’t help.

Catoflam. It’s an older NSAID. The best Med out there for dental pain

Dealt with this about a decade ago. Wish I had some good advice, but I don’t. Didn’t sleep for several days. The only silver lining I can offer is that the root canal will be a blissful release by comparison.

Wow My tooth apparently has an extra root that crosses the entire tooth, so my dentist is sending me to an endodontist.
A good endo will have this done in less than an hour and then you’ll be home free.

My tooth was all kinds of fricked, so my dentist referred me to an endo. Super easy procedure. When I went back to the dentist to do the crown, he took an X-ray and was in awe of her work. If I ever need another root canal, I’m going back to an endo. Don’t care what it costs.

if it is one of the back two teeth, just get it pulled. $100 vs $1500 and guaranteed solution vs a root canal that may or may not work.

Punch yourself in the nuts. It will make you forget about the pain in your mouth.

I take two of the arthritis tylenol. The 650mg a pill kind. Also I swish around peroxide in my mouth around the tooth. Don’t swallow it obviously, but it works.

You still playing victim for not brushing your teeth?

Been there done that. Narcotics even with whisky still made me want to tie a string to a doorknob.
Third dentist gave me a bunch of Advil when it first came out. Prescription strength was 800 mg. It worked. It was the only thing that worked.

Hmmm
String to a doorknob. The barber often doubled as a dentist.

I found that to be true for me as well. It’s was either on TD or another site were a dentist recommended 800 mg of Advil (ibuprofen) (4, 200 mg OTC) every 6 hours, and 1000 mg of acetaminophen=Tylenol (2, 500 mg OTC tablets), 3 hours after taking the 800 mg of ibuprofen, until one could see the dentist. Made the pain “manageable” as opposed to “intolerable”.
