I know you are trying everything but this works for teething babies. Get a cheap washcloth that has the raised loops, feels kind of rough. Try wetting it and then bitig down on it with light pressure. Good Luck.

if it is one of the back two teeth, just get it pulled. $100 vs $1500 and guaranteed solution vs a root canal that may or may not work.

Sipping ice water may alleviate some, have to take a sip every 2-3 minutes. It equalizes the pressure for a short time.
Sipping/swilling room temp water is the only thing that gives me relief.
I bet I drank 2 gallons today.

as soon as I woke up from the procedure I was completely pain-free.
You went under general anesthesia for a root canal?
I had one last year with local shots and actually fell asleep during the procedure. It was a breeze.

Soldier’s Joy…Morphine
But there were definitely dentists in the 1800s. They would do morphine with the patient and then pull that tooth.

Hydrocodone, 5-10mg should do the trick (Norco, Lortab, etc.)
Be careful stacking that with tylenol they lace all the good drugs with Acetaminophen nowadays to "protect" people from abusing these narcotics.

Seriously man, beg or borrow some painkillers from someone, you'll get some relief.

Mine was expected to be long and unusual, so they suggested GA, I was fine with it. They didn't listen to my wife who tried to explain I needed more anesthesia than most people and as a result I was aware of the surgeon and his staff talking, though I had no pain. He didn't believe me until I told him what he was doing that weekend.

Switch antibiotics. Had one one time, Amoxicillin didn't work like it usually did. Switched and it did the trick.

Stick with Ibuprofen, increase dosage slightly, no alcohol. Brush your teeth, particularly that area frequently. Mouth wash also if you have access to gummies take them

Wow
My tooth apparently has an extra root that crosses the entire tooth, so my dentist is sending me to an endodontist.
