It is really weird. Being transgender wasn't even on the fricking radar 20 years ago and we have swooping legislation/policies to "get with the times", but marijuana, which has been part of American popular culture for decades, doesn't NEARLY have the stigma being transgender/gay has, and yet we REFUSE to budge. Such an archaic/draconian stance only shows that such policies are really just protectionist in nature. It's sad, really.

I would've agreed, until you pulled out the Louisiana politicians favorite line. Blame it on black people. Now, I feel pity for you and your narrow minded view of the world. Because corrupt politicians love people like you. Your hatred blinds you from seeing the real problems in society.

The reason I was being civil, is because I'm not actually am a-hole. Thank my liberal mother in heaven for me treating everyone with respect and courtesy, until proven that they don't deserve it.

So might this be good news for those of us in recreational states? I heard rumors that if it dropped to a lower schedule that fedgov would start enforcing prescription only, even in current legal rec states, destroying the rec industry.

Because there isn't big money involved with the Transgender stuff. Too many lobbyists tied to alcohol and prescription medicine to be partial about this. Crooked politicians, all of them.

.. You must think everyone who smokes is like Jeff Spicoli. Believe it or not there are productive people who smoke all the time.

While I laughed at their movies, a Cheech and Chong did a huge disservice that stigmatized pot smokers. Up in Smoke was funny, but frick those guys.

I don't know. That may be true but it might also be true that they brought it further mainstream. And most of the stereotypes they perpetuated were already well known.

Yep. There's some great weed in Mobile. The only southern city I've seen more constantly good herb, was in Asheville. My first couple years in Nola, I bought most of my weed in Mobile.

When I was in Mobile the best came from the dudes in Huntsville/Decatur. Those white boys always had top-notch.

Or so I heard.

But you ignore statistics that marijuana has so many benefits that it completely outweighs any negatives?

Ill ruin you a-hole.

I read that too. And was very worried. But I guarantee Colorado would've told them to frick off. No way they would willingly dismantle a billion dollar industry. It would've ended up being drug out in courts for years.

No, I acknowledge the statistics. But I think just looking at numbers oversimplifies the issue. If you think melanin as any effect on personality, behavior, or ethics, than I feel sorry that you were raised to be the person you've become.

I'm sure WA would fight it too but I'd rather not get caught up in a DEA raid at a rec shop in the meantime.

Luckily, I have a medical card. So I probably won't be shopping at a dispensary very often once I harvest. If I can find an extractor to make me some wax or shatter, it'll be a long time before I buy anything again.

Did just the opposite. It put pot smoking in the mainstream.
