The apartment complex I live in during the week for work started taking section 8 a year ago which I didn't realize until after I signed my new lease.
I confronted them one day and they claimed that income based rent wasn't section 8. Nothing but trash moves in now and I can't wait to move in September.
I couldn't imagine paying 2k a month to have shite in the stairwell. I'd probably do neighborhood watch and shoot a motherfricker popping a squat in the stairwell.

While part of me is outraged that taxpayers are subsidizing rent so poor people can live in high end apartments when there’s cheaper housing available elsewhere, another part of me is happy to see rich liberals finally having the consequences of their voting choices literally show up on their doorstep
