A lot of bad laws could be written out of raw emotions and good intentions. I think these incidents are terrible. I don't think banning a rifle will really make much of a difference in their frequency either.

You can buy 100 round Glock mags. I may have posted this is this thread or the El Paso one but the only recent mass shooting that I can think of where pistols wouldn't have easily worked was Las Vegas. He could have done plenty of damage with a hunting rifle and a bunch of mags though.
