Dems don't need Texas to win the presidency. They will likely have it in the next 15 years though due to immigration/birth rates.

I don't think the poster was talking about deaths from shootouts with the people confiscating the weapons, but deaths from people unable to defend themselves against the criminals who will not be giving up their weapons if hypothetical confiscation ever occurred.
