OP, my daughter matured early, as did several of her friends who were also child models. A couple of them were 5'9" and 5'10" at age 12. It was fairly common from a very early age for people to notice and comment on her appearance, often mistaking her for older than her chronologic age. May be something in the water or food chain these days, improved nutrition, evolution, whatever.

My 12yr old son seems so much less mature than the 12 year old girls in his grade. They hit puberty first.

I did not create OP's thread, but merely responded conversationally that his experience is not unusual. At no time have I ever indicated anything other than respect for all others.
The creepy vibe is actually created by a few detractors here who take every opportunity to declare same, as though they are scoring some imaginary internet brownie points. To quote an astute observer of human nature, they "doth protest too much, methinks", if you will understand the meaning of the line.
