I had my first real girlfriend when I was in 7th grade. We were both 12, maybe 13. We’d go to the movie theater — I must’ve paid to see Crocodile Dundee and Stand By Me about 10x each — and basically French kiss throughout the entire movie (“Frenching,” as we called it). We didn’t know that the hell we were doing so we basically just rolled our tongues around in circles. I remember she wanted me to ride on my bike to her house which was several miles away. I told her the only way I’d do it was if she let me feel her up when I got there (she was an early developer)

Then of course you’d talk on the phone til all hours of the night, you’d call Z-98 and make a little song request, and then when it came time to hang up you’d say “I love you” and neither of you would want to hang up first. It’d be like, “Ok, you’ve gotta hang up first” and she’d say, “No, YOU have to hang up first.” Then after a few minutes of debating you’d say, “Ok, ok the count of 3 we’ll both hang up at the same time.” Ahh, those were the days.

To answer the OP, 12 is too young.
