If it had been real, he should have def stayed on with Sophia. She was into it

It’s fake because he would clearly be able to still hear them talking to each other. He didn’t mute it, he tried to end it. So it either would still be on his screen or he’d hear them.

Fake. Two big giveaways.
#1: saying something about “consumer spending” is probably the most stereotypical/generic business talk you could possibly think up. Scripted.
#2: when the asian guy tries to call him, he’s acting like he’s dialing. So he knows his coworker’s # by heart, but doesn’t have him programmed as a contact? He’s not texting because he puts the phone to his ear immediately after he finishes tapping.
