I get it. You hate Texas. I am acknowledging your dislike for the state. You can move along now.

I'm from the south, don't live there anymore. The city I live in has a higher COL than Los Angeles, so it's not a matter of not affording it. L.A. is far and away the worst city I've ever visited. I can honestly say I would never move to L.A.

Other parts of California? Absolutely. In a heartbeat. But not L.A.

And politics has absolutely zero influence on how I feel about a city, unlike many on here.

Not LA proper.

But if I could pick a city in California to live, it would be San Diego.

You should research the Argentina/Chile wine regions and hit those up. Spend a few days in Patagonia hiking. It is on our list.

That’s on mine too. Chile has some ridiculously good wines for half the price they would cost if they came from more well known places, and it looks absolutely beautiful.

I don’t hate Texas. I just don’t get why people are so delusional about it

I don’t know where the delusion is, other than maybe the culture part.

My orginal post said it does nothing well, but sets centrally and you can hope to other locals quickly. I am not disagreeing the city itself is not Seattle or San Diego.

It's fun, but it has 0 culture, and Clay Jenkins is in charge, therefore deducting all points from Dallas.

It's a feeble attempt to apply objective rankings to a very subjective topic. I suppose it garners clicks and discussion though, which is likely the goal.

If I had 100 million dollars LA wouldn't even be on my radar.

That sounds ideal.

Except I'd have to hit up a few breweries for good measure. Especially Russian River.

I mean Dallas is pretty great all things considered. The metroplex has literally everything. Greater Houston isn’t much different. I love me some Central Texas though.

Oh we did. We went to the huge new location that Russian River built. I loaded up on good stuff to bring home.

First off, it's L.A., not LA. LA is Louisiana.

Secondly, Los Angeles itself wouldn't even be in my California top 10 places to live if I could afford it.

You can judge it by what a bunch of milquetoast travel ball baws brag about.
