The world is getting too many people and we have not had a reset event in a long time. This is where science, mother nature (although she tries) and lack of significant wars is hurting us. The poor far out-breed the non-poor, how is that a good thing.
I am not a smart enough person to give you a solution, but I know reduction in human population on Earth would be a good thing. Maybe it is perm sterilization, maybe just temp sterilization, maybe it is embracing outer space and colonization of other planets. Simply going down the same path is not going to lead to anything good though.

I was thinking along the lines of taking those sensors they have on the passenger seat that tells you if someone is sitting there and not buckled, and putting something like that on the back seat or on the car seat themselves that will set off the car alarm if the issue is not attended within 30 seconds of killing the engine.

I believe once he remembered and found the child he went insane putting the child in the fridge. Still can't fathom how you forget your child like that but I can see going insane afterwards.
