Yeah, sure, but if we're going to lecture our kids about how "the internet is forever" maybe we should refrain from using them for attention whoring without their consent.

Good punishment. I never got beat as a kid, but I was forced to get up at 4:00 in the morning when I fricked up and run around the block. I fricking hated that shite and would have rather been beaten.

Also a good chance this video will be showed when this kid offs his dad later in life. Public humiliation can be powerful for all the wrong reasons. Even better chance this kid's friends are giving him shite about this today. It's not the best play by the dad. Make him run, fine, but no need to blast it out on FB.
