The Jefferson Parish district attorney's office has formally charged a River Ridge veterinarian accused of fatally shooting her neighbor's dog in the head.
Prosecutors on Wednesday (Feb. 21) filed a bill of information charging Kelly Folse, 35, with aggravated cruelty to an animal, illegal discharge of a firearm, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a drug without a prescription, according to Jefferson Parish court records.
quote:
Fitzner, told Fox 8 she'd left Bruizer in the backyard of her home in the 8900 block of Camille Drive in River Ridge when she went to work on Dec. 13. But a relative returned home that afternoon and found the pup lying in the grass with a gunshot wound to his head.
quote:
Folse shot Bruizer after months of sending aggressive and hostile text messages and videos to the dog's owner about his loud barking, according to Interim Sheriff Joseph Lopinto.
But Folse's attorney, Robert Garrity Jr., has said his client did not shoot the dog. He accused Lopinto of using the case as political grandstanding in advance of the March 24 Jefferson Parish sheriff's election.
The drug charges stem from a search of Folse's home during which authorities found the anti-anxiety medication diazepam, better known by the brand name Valium, and methacarbomol, a muscle relaxant. Folse did not have proper prescriptions for either drug, according to authorities.

Seems like a vet could find a more subtle way to kill a dog.

Maybe next time just shoot the neighbor who won't do something about their dog that doesn't shut up. The dog was innocent. Dogs bark, it's what they do. Some are obviously far worse than others. If you have a dog that constantly barks, and you leave the dog out....frick you, you're a shitty owner.

She was jealous that the dog was more attractive than her. She was the bitch that needed to be shot.

No they are pissed she did their job. This was in the homeowners yard, not a vet office.

One of the hard lessons from living in a subdivision. Not only do you have to put up with your families shite, you have to put up with neighbors shite as well.
My buddy (self employed) and his wife (teacher) are Staunch Libs but keep their opinion to themselves. They live in a subdivision and their bedroom and their 2yo & 6 month olds bedroom are about 10' from the neighbors back door. The neighbor puts they're dogs out at 10pm every night and bring them back in when ever they remember/want to. The dogs will start barking wanting back in after 5mins of being outside but the owners can't hear them bark or don't give a shite. My buddy is always bitching how they can't sleep because it wakes the kids up and they won't go back to sleep cause the dogs barking. He's always talking about how he wants to do "non liberal" things to the dogs/owners/ anyone else who causes him discomfort. I love every second of it.... Lib on Libs..... Lib on!

My neighbor's dog barks 24/7. Taking drastic measures like shooting it, is just wrong. I'm a nice guy and feed it chocolate.

Was the dog a pit? If so she should be released and given a medal. Probably saved at least one human life

All she had to do was say she felt threatened for her life and no problem

I'm an Independent that has recently supported republicans because of the current state of the Democratic party. When I see stuff like this, I'm reminded both sides have their extremist idiots.
