It's a long watch but very informative. I think the biggest takeaway for me was the fact that the carnage and chaos that people have come to associate with Omaha Beach has been somewhat overstated by historians over the decades. It certainly was the bloodiest and most difficult of the landing zones, but things began to stabilize after the first couple of waves or so as small pockets of U.S. soldiers began making their way inland from the beach.
