Cute 4 year old Vadie and her red hound Lucy found after two days 'lost' in woods

Her parents and the rest of the community thought she was lost, I'd bet she was just out with her dog on a great spring day.
Anyway, near Auburn, she was found after two days of searching. Her dog ran away with all the finding commotion, but then found his way back home.

If she was missing for 2 days she was lost
Is this wrong?
Glad they're both safe

Why did she need to an ambulance when it wasn't an emergency situation when she was found?

Authorities said she was under the supervision of her caretaker, who is in her 70s, and walking her dog when she and the dog “essentially just disappeared.” The caretaker also watches Vadie’s infant sister.
Unless they were killed in an accident, here’s another example that screams “shite parents.”
