Was coming to post this. I saw Uber’s for the first time last night too.

They must have all hired the same consultant.

I mean, I completely forgot Uber bad some bad press until I saw their sappy commercial.

The Chevy one where the car having apple apps and a hidden compartment is supposed to make me want to buy one.

Actually all the Chevy ones with that same douchebag.

And all the Ford ones with the douchebag voiceover.

I have a hard time thinking of any commercial that isn't terrible actually.

Glad I skip that shite most of the time.

Drug commercials where the actors have some skin condition, but after months of treatment they can wear bathing suits and short sleeve shirts.

Hell, any prescription drug commercial period.

Do local election ads count? There are about 20 of them right now.

This. I don't watch morning news any more because I can't stand the endless ambulance chaser ads or somebody from the Leblanc family screaming at me to buy a car.

Taco Bell makes some pretty solid commercials. Outside of that they all make me cringe

I agree. My old man taught me to change a tire when I was still in grammar school. Had a tire on the boat trailer blow out on the way to Venice. He said 'looks like we have a flat', looked at me with his "well what are you going to do' face, and I got out and changed the tire. Must have been about 11 or 12. God I miss that old SOB. Taught me how to be an adult.

The "real people. not actors" Chevy commercials.

I'm not more likely to buy a shitty Chevy because some kid is wow'd at the fact that it has a hidden compartment and can sync with an iPhone.

It is a terrible marketing campaign.

Whatever the commercial is where two women are talking in the kitchen and at the end they turn their heads and a little boy has a breast milk pump over his face.

The one where the kid for in a minor fender bender in a drive thru and called the insurance company and made the claim before telling his parents. I'd beat his arse. Thanks son for making my insurance go up $400 a month.
seriously. If my kid called the insurance before talking to me like that an arse whooping he would get

Well judging by his mannerisms and how he sashays down the hallway, that tells me the kid would be fine with anything being done to his arse.

The chevy commercials are making me consider not buying one again

^this!

How the hell do you send your kid out on the road without first teaching them something as simple as changing a flat?!?

Absolutely this! The only ones I've seen lately are the ones I can't skip on the SECN+ stream. And they're all equally bad except the "SEC just means more" series. Those are the worst.
