When Gustav came through, they had a curfew as well. It was during that time period I was involved in my first vehicular police chase. Had to ditch the truck in the Sharlo neighborhood and make a dash to a friends house. Oh the times.

I'm guessing Yes. Several people noticed looters in the afternoon on Saturday and called police and they said they cant do anything then wanted a few drivebys in the middle of the night to make sure everything is safe. Police said they are overwhelmed and understaffed. Many police officers have been taking care of their own homes.
