I got Covid after my first dose of Pfizer. The hospital administering the vaccines wanted me to wait 90 days before getting my second vaccine. Waited 75 days and didn’t have an issue with either dose.

Your wife needs better information. Moderna has been available for about 6 or 8 weeks at New Orleans East Hospital and at the Convention Center for a week or two. Both managed by LCMC.

She’s not a vaccinator. Her pay scale is way higher than that, neither her nor I gaf.

She got her Pfizer vaccine at West Jeff over a month ago

My in laws got their J&J at the convention center a few weeks ago

My PCP is at Touro and I was scheduled for a Pfizer shot last week but cancelled.

I could also get a Moderna elsewhere if I choose to

What’s your point again?

I still had COVID antibodies from when I had it in October, and the first Moderna shot was way worse for nearly 48 hours than any part of having the actual virus. I might not survive the freaking second shot.

Same here. Had Covid back in June, still don't have full sense of smell. 1st dose of Moderna was excruciating in the first 48 hours. If dose 2 next week is worse, I can't imagine how to get through it.
Still worth it to visit my old people and immune compromised peeps. But dreading next week.

If you want a Moderna vaccine and you want to stay within the LCMC system, they are available at NOEH and the Conv Center.
That's my point.

Congratulations on you wife's high salary.

Both on OT and in real life I keep hearing if you had virus before 1st dosage of vaccine is worse than 2nd dosage as far as cold like or flu like side effects for day or 2 after injection.

My smell and taste are still all screwed up. I literally cannot smell farts or when someone takes a crap (not complaining about this), but my wife uses some kind of dry shampoo that I can smell upwind from 2.7 miles away. Then there’s taste: Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, tastes like it should.

Same. Not missing scents I can't smell.

Just signed up the wife and me to get our first doses of the Moderna vaccine on April 6th. Which is also my sister's(no pics) 37th birthday. She got her first dose Thursday(Pfizer).
