Is anyone else seeing people at their gym (not a “box”) doing the following:

Using 3 pieces of equipment at a time

Carrying a dumbbell or multiple dumbbells everywhere they go throughout the gym

Leaving several sets of dumbbells on the floor around the bench and in the walking path

I rarely saw this shite at Reds, but it has been rampant at several gyms here in the KC area.

Don’t touch my bench. Or my squat rack. Or my dumbbells. Or my leg press. Or the radio.

It doesn’t bother me. As long as I can do my curls in the squat rack, then I’m ok.

This was my CrossFit workout this morning.

No where on here is anything about taking up several weights and stations at once.

What you are describing sounds like just “free weighters” hanging out at the gym. They get in the way a lot. The gym is like their bar.

Cross fit people are the worst. Anti-vaxxers irl.

I'd like to know what percentage of people can do a 200' handstand walk

Not me that’s for sure.

Most people here think everyone who is annoying at the gym is a cross fitter. Unless they are in a class with other people doing specific movements, it’s not CrossFit.

Pretty sure cross-fitters despise dumbbells and pretty much every other piece of equipment or exercise that makes them look remotely regular. So, this doesn't make sense.

“Free weighters” That’s a good one. I call them dumbbell hoarders, but “free weighters” has a nice ring to it.

It’s like if someone posted a workout thread on the OT instead of the fitness board

That’s my own personal name. We have them that like to hang out in the classroom and they finally had to put notices in the doors saying you aren’t allowed to just “open workout” during class hours. They were hogging all the room and equipment.

they also like stop every three minutes to change music or to post a picture of themselves.

It sounds like they are there to exercise, not be on their phones like you.

You mean like actually working out instead of taking selfies in the mirror or trying to score with cardio bunnies?

The thing that bothers me the most at the gym are the dudes who put their huge gym bag on a bench and then go work out on the other side of the gym. Put your shite in a locker or somewhere on the floor....not on top of a bench.

I think you’ve got that backwards CDawg. The guys he’s describing are the ones I see constantly stopping to IG.

BTW, a random True Lies google search I made pulled up an old thread from like 2009.

It's a joke, Sir Ropesalot. Go flip some tires over and calm down.

When I use that line, people either laugh with you from the reference or look at you crazy.

Anytime I see someone doing something with terrible form I assume they are a crossfire person.
