How many rounds equal 263 reps? I guess the snatches are 1 for 1 but the DUs?

Double unders are 1 rep for each time the rope swing twice under you while you jump rope. Snatches are 1:1

263= 5 Rounds (45 reps/RD) +38 additional reps (full set of double unders 8 Snatches)

Oh, forgot to mention, you only have 10 minutes to do it

Post what you get on here so we can add you to the roster man Crossfit is made to be doable by anyone anywhere so technically, so there are a lot of self submissions of people filming them doing the workouts at home

Damn didn't realize it was already time for the Open. I stopped Crossfitting about a year ago in favor of doing my own programing. I might try some of the workout just to see where I'm at.

Just from a glance, is it just me or does this workout seem easy as shite? What are the pros getting? Seems like anyone who is in really good shape should be able to get 350+. I'm assuming this turns into almost entirely cardio a the workout progresses.

Arbitrarily setting my goal at 360.

It does.

Two guys from the Auburn Area that finished top 20 at regionals only go 315 give or take a rep or two. It is very deceptive. Guy who got 8 rounds/ 360 is a triathlete who was is a freak athlete (deadlifts 500+ despite being an endurance guY)

Forearms and lower back give out on all those snatches. Makes a huge difference. Your heartrate shoots up from DUs then doesn't drop down during the snatches since you have to get through them fast. You fatigue really easy. Think about doing Fran for 10 minutes and you have an idea. Low weight but your lungs give out

Place you in the top 10-25 in every region. Marcus Hendrin and Garret Fisher (think names are right) only got 375 and below during hte announcement workout. Both of them are top 10 games competitors

Gotcha. RE photos, videos, I´m not into that. I´m a lot older than yáll, I´m pretty much monitoring myself by my resting pulse when I wake up. It was as low as 38 bpm when in primo shape (ten years ago). I´m now at about 48, and a general 58 when just moving around, in day to day stuff.

I´m concerned about cardio, and appearance (waistline above all). The days of benching 370 and shite are over, and waaaay in the rear view mirror (my joints can´t handle that shite).

Makes sense.

Maybe my goal was a little off hahaha. We shall see, all of these are luck of the draw to an extent. Double unders and snatches would be right there with muscle-ups as my best events so I should be able to do all-right here!

Same here with the exception of MUs and I had the same thought about success in this workout, but this one can be deceptively difficult. Couple of guys at our gym have a decent shot of making it to the regionals and "only" got in the low-middle 300s. Given those scores I feel pretty good about my 263, but am kinda a pissed I'm not likely going to have a chance to redo it.

The concern about where one places, and all, is pretty damned amusing. It is, after all, fricking exercising. Then again, the fact that ESPN10 or whatever it is, retransmits this shite, only solidifies their beliefs.

God Bless America.

I treat it like a pick up basketball game. When I go home at night, win or lose it doesn't change anything. That said, I hate losing pick up games the same as I hate losing to a friend at the gym. Just nice to get that competitive drive. Doing bicep curls just doesn't do it for me

Guys going to the CrossFit Games or regionals are impressive and where they rank matters. I know former NFL guys who have a hard time keeping up with them

No, I get this. I know that Knowshon Moreno swears by this (forget that I´m a Georgia grad), but, I don´t get the competition aspect. It´s certainly superior to ´I´m more beautiful than you´ (based upon a panel of judges), but not far off from a ´I´ve done one more situp than you´.

Unless this is Roman shizen, and one wins, once the others petres out and vomits.

I really don´t get it. I´m not purposefully being obtuse, I really want to know.

I don't get super competitive with normal workouts. I am self motivated

That said though, I spend my entire childhood growing up competing in sports, football basketball and baseball. Now I am in college, I have rec sports and stuff but most people show up and go through the motions. There isn't "elite" competition. CrossFit just gives me an avenue to channel my athletic competition desire

It also is getting my core stronger and improving flexibility/mobility so it will have benefits in the long run as I get older

Added some times.

Those double unders are killing people especially when people are getting tired. I got lucky that I had a knack for them when I first started. Took me a couple weeks and since then I almost never fail doubles
