If you want attention for how good you smell and a scent that is practically eternal at a reasonable price and one that is still relatively under the radar, then get Bois Imperial by Essential Parfums and thank me later. Rarely am I not stopped and either complimented or asked what I'm wearing.

I get compliments all the time
Noir de Noir is another great one by Tom Ford. And women seem to like it on themselves too.
I think men in unisex scents are reliably way more attractive smelling than a man in "same ole man scent" that many men-only fragrances are. I like both, but those unisex ones can be super interesting.
Hopeful - Good call on Guerlain. One of the best fragrance houses out there. Expensive, but man they have some very unique ones.
I recently bought a unisex anniversary edition Clive Christian that we've been sharing, and we both love it.

Royal Oud is an amazing winter scent!
I do second Viking, quite a few compliments wearing it
As far as Aventus its very dependent on the batch/ year some batches are out of this world ie 2012!
but as far as Aventus type or based scent, I've switched to Vintage Radio by Lattafa its along the same scent notes but subtly better.

Try fragrancenet.com, much better prices on all brands.

Creed is absurdly expensive and Mont Blanc Explorer smells identical to the untrained nose
I have both, and you're right. Mont Blanc Explorer is significantly less expensive too.
Both smell great to me.

Creed is always solid. You can find testers of the real product on line and test it out first.

If you're spending that much get a Le Labo or Tom Ford.
