A dance in the middle of the road from an Airline Highway hooker once. We were at a red light headed west, just leaving Jefferson Parish and entering (?) St Charles. She was just a black silhouette against the setting sun and it was really beautiful.

I was driving somewhere in Southern Missouri on a random Thursday afternoon, I think. It was out in the country and I was passing a farm with a white fence about 10 yards from the road. Right around the middle fence post some ol' baw was sitting on the fence naked as the day he was born, but for a straw hat, with the biggest shite-eating grin you can imagine.

I saw this dude running on 3 feet concrete wall barriers used for road construction on I20 in Dallas.If he fell he would have gotten run over.
I saw a tire come off a truck, roll down I10 eastbound, jump the concrete barrier and hit a car in the windshield going west bound in BR. It was about a mile from Tiger Stadium before the Auburn game in 09.

Driving north on I-85 in Atlanta just after noon on a Sunday. I see a green Buick ahead of me with four white dots in the seats. I notice that the car is going back and forth within its lane. I speed up and go around. As expected, it's four little old ladies dressed for church and the driver has her head on a swivel. I keep watching in my rear view mirror and sure enough, she goes for a triple lane change. A mini van in the lane next to her slams on breaks and starts to swerve. Another car hits the van in the side and the van goes flying through the air before hitting and rolling down the interstate. Chaos ensues with cars swerving this way and that, and some crashing into each other. Meanwhile, the green Buick continues on, oblivious to the mayhem she caused.

Driving eastbound on I-12, I see in my rear view mirror a bunch of crotch rockets coming over the Sherwood overpass. First bike is on the back tire standing up bobbing around traffic. They pass me doing probably 80 and I can see them as they are going over the O’Neal over pass. The lead bike never put his the front tire down

Hwy 90 SE bound towards MC and Houma during sugar harvesting. There was a tractor hauling 2 sugar cane carts early in the morning on Hwy 90 just outside of New Iberia in a fog. A semi truck hauling a flat bed full of 30 foot long steel tubing ran up on the sugar cane cart at high speed without braking. Newton's law was on full display. The entire load of steel tubing went through the cab of the semi truck. It was one of those older trucks with the little window at the bottom of the doors near the engine compartment.

About twenty years ago on Christmas Eve I was on I-12 east between Holden and Albany There was an 18 wheeler hit a pinto on the west bound side. It looked like something off a movie , it flipped all the way across the interstate East bound I told my wife and kids to stay in the car. The man inside was mangled and dying, I could smell the liquor. I just held his hand prayed and he took his last gasp of air. Waited to the cops showed up. I still think about it

On I-12 between Denham Springs and Hammond - woman cruising with a novel open on the steering wheel. I wish I knew what she was reading because it had to be an incredible book.

2017 I am was driving on I-12 from a job site on the Northshore back to BR when all of a sudden the passenger door of a truck ahead of me opens and a girl jumps out going highway speed. I was in the middle lane and the truck was in the right lane or maybe just getting on the interstate and in the merge lane. I think i heard that she was arguing with her bf and just bailed.
About 2 years ago one afternoon on the way home from work I decided to take Louise St. To the interstate I was like 8 cars back at the light at Thomas Delpit where the old McKinley High is. This guy who was fricked out of his mind on drugs starts yanking on the car door handle of the first car at the light. For some reason she must have unlocked it because he got it open, ripped her out and started punching her in the face probably about 20 times. He then just walked away.I felt bad about not helping, but it happened so fast once I realized what was going on. At first I thought he was just fricking around with his friend. It wasnt until he pulled her out of the car that I thought someone might be in trouble. I told my cousin about it the next day and she sent me the girls Facebook post about it. It was completely random, and she looked like a typical liberal bitch and she probably got what she deserved.
I took a picture of the guy right after it happened

I was headed East out of Texarkana one day with my Pops riding with me. We had just used one of those ridiculously short merge lanes and had gotten up to highway speed.
I was talking to Pops and had glanced over at him when I heard a loud thud from something hitting the windshield. It took a second for it to register, but Pops said, "That was a damn hawk!" The bird had flown off, but there was blood on my windshield.
We got pulled off at the first spot we could to check things out. We got out of the car, looked it over, and everything looked good. I went to check the wipers, and I shite you not, in the little valley area between the hood and the bottom of the windshield was a mouse.
It was, evidently, the mouse's blood on the windshield so I figured it was dead and the hawk, obviously, dropped it on impact. I went to use my knife to flip it off the car, but as soon as I touched it, the damn thing came alive and jumped on my hand.
I, naturally, screamed like a little girl and flailed my arm back and forth throwing my knife about ten feet across the parking lot which scared the mouse causing it to jump down on the hood, jump to the ground and run off.
It took me a second to shake off my near death encounter. The first thing I heard was Pops trying to catch his breath and laughing uncontrollably. His face was bright red and he started to cough and laugh at the same time. I told him to shut up and get in the car.
He never did let me live that one down.
I don't know what became of the hawk or the mouse, but their story lives on.
