I always remembered it being a shade of blue.
For chartreuse? I understand people remembering it as a shade of red, but I wouldn't consider chartreuse as a shade of blue in either "timeline"

The whole marketing behind Mikey and Life cereal, is this kid hates everything but he like this cereal.
Exactly. And why would the catchphrase be "MIKEY LIKES IT!!" if fricking Mikey liked everything.
How does anyone think that's logical? You want people to think your cereal is great so you use a character that likes everything and state that he likes your cereal...

"Won’t You Be My Neighbor” – “It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood.” Right?
In this reality, it’s “It’s a beautiful day in this neighborhood."
Also - remember when the Great Pumpkin showed up at the very end of It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown after Linus waited in the patch all night? In this universe, the Great Pumpkin never comes.

I want to know what they're changing.
Maybe someone is changing something BIG for nefarious reasons and someone else is changing little cultural icons we all remember to try and warn us

Apparently Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood didn't get affected. It still says "the neighborhood."

In this universe they said: “Let’s get Mikey. He won't eat it. He hates everything.”
Well the whole "He likes it!" wouldn't make much sense if he ate everything anyway. Plus the "he likes it" is the iconic part of that commercial. Most likely people just didn't hear the dialog before correctly.

My inlaws will jokingly call me Mikey because I will eat anything. Which would make no sense if Mikey hated everything.
They used to say this about my uncle until somebody corrected them. This was in the late 80s and there would be discussions on the subject of Mikey.

I asked my mom, retired elementary school teacher, she said it was Berenstein.

I remember chartreuse the greenish yellow it is in this universe. But a lot of people remember is as being similar to mauve or some shade of blue.
I need some context on how you all even know what chartreuse is. Should I Have known this color for some reason?

I'm sure that there are a ton of people with old books that can confirm it is Stein.
I know mine are long gone, but I need a picture to confirm i'm not crazy.

I was just thinking this Pectus. I remember this being here a year ago (I also posted one bc the other got anchored) and most people were just chalking it up to a mass of people mispronouncing/misrememebering it, but when I saw this cr1tikal video and he mentions he had to create book reports and was always corrected by the teacher it made me want to post it again. I seem to have those memories of being corrected as well.
The waybackmachine was a good idea, and it's crazy to think that ZERO mention on any book publisher websites mention EITHER spelling of the book until 2005. It was a huge children's book in the 80s when I was in elementary school and we used it in class a lot. It would be on book publishers websites. That is was finally convinced me, someone got to the internet archive and scrubbed it. There is no explanation why it's nowhere on the internet until 2005. That tells me the universe merge happened around 2005.

Idk i didn't watch the video. I went and found my old books and thousands of other people have done the same. They say stain. Mind blown

If you subscribe to this theory, all the books will say Stain bc we merged with the alternate universe where it has always been Stain.

I blame the geographic stuff like this on the global maps we all grew up with. Remember how big Antarctica looked on those?
And this has ALWAYS been a chartreuse tail

Well around kindergarten i thought all the weird different colors were cool. I wouldn't know the word 'cerulean' without Crayola. And I distinctly remember chartreuse being blueish.
