Wow, clever. Cox came and shut the signal off at 5 am? Valuable information you've added.

Mine dropped out around 6pm thurs afternoon. By troubleshooting I suspected there was an outage. Called support and they confirmed that. Told me to they'd have it fixed in a few hours. Woke up yesterday morning to no Internet. Support told me they were able to fix the outage overnight and I should be back online. Couldn't get a tech out until today around 2.

All that ramble to say you're not the only one, though I doubt our issues are related.

It's probably a temporary glitch they'll have fixed sometime this week.

But really, stop to trying to catch some porn before the kids get up.

My first year Cox contract just expired. My bill for 15 Mbps is jumping from $40 to $60 per month.

I've had constant reliability issues. Thinking I might call and say I want to cancel to see if they can drop my rate.

Any chance I can get them to boost my speed too?

When I was broke in college they would shut my shite off at 2am, no problem.

ETA : It's not as if someone physically comes to your house and flips a switch off.

Reliability issues has nothing to do with speed unfortunately.

The regular price of 50 mb/s cox is $70 i think. You might as well go to that

for the first time ever in my experience, cox internet and cable tv are both shitty. I've lived in Goodwood and Capital Heights since 1980, got cable internet when it came out, and i have never had significant problems with either cable or internet

Now, internet is up and down constantly, and tv is pixilating regularly

I'm aware of that. It's more of seeing if I can try to get a drop in price AND get them to increase the speed.

Perhaps it's a pipe dream.
